libcdk5 software package provides C-based curses widget library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcdk5
libcdk5 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcdk5 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcdk5 *
You will get with libcdk5 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
